What if I were to tell you, you could do something that has never been done in the history of mankind and all you need is a deck of cards.
Ok, let’s get to it.
Step 1: shuffle the cards.
Congratulations, you have done it.
You have put the deck of cards in an order it has never been in before in the history of mankind.
How can I tell you this with complete certainty? Let’s do the math.
There are 52 cards in a deck.
That means there is 52 options of what the bottom card will be in your newly shuffled deck, 51 options for the card that is second bottom, 50 for third bottom… so on and so forth.
In the end there are 80,658,175,170,943,878,571,660,636,856,403,766,975,289,505,440,883,277,824,000,000,000,000 variations that a deck could shuffled in otherwise written as 8 x 1067.
To put this number in perspective, if we were to say someone finished shuffling a deck of cards every second since the beginning of the universe (believed to be 14 billion years ago) , the deck will have been shuffled 1018 times.
A miniscule amount compared to the amount of variations in a deck.
So if someone has told you, you’ll amount to nothing, shuffle a deck of cards and tell them you’ve just made history.
